Abstract

To increase the energy efficiency of buildings in extreme climatic zones in order to meet energy saving requirements, they account for more than 40% of total energy consumption. Therefore, one of the important factors is to determine the optimal geometry of buildings in the regions. The shape of buildings affects the use of energy for heating and cooling rooms, but the relationship between geometry and energy consumption is not always obvious. This article provides an example of a comparative analysis of the impact on energy efficiency of two different prototypes of compact objects - yurt and square buildings - for evaluation.
