Abstract

The article presents an analysis of the development of industrial architecture in modern Kazakhstan, from the 18th century to the present day. The research is based on architectural analysis methods combined with historical-analytical approaches, typological and comparative assessment of objects and phenomena. The study examines the prerequisites and main stages of the formation and transformation of industrial architecture, from the establishment of the first production facilities to the construction of modern industrial complexes. It has been determined that the diversity and richness of natural resources, socio-economic development of society, the formation of specialized settlements, and the adaptation of architectural solutions to changes in production technologies and processes have been important prerequisites for the evolution of industrial facilities. The study identifies four main periods of industrial architecture development in Kazakhstan, examines its most characteristic features in each historical period, and highlights trends in the transformation of urban industrial areas today.
