Abstract

In modern conditions, an urgent task is the effective use of waste from the metallurgical industry and energy to reduce the environmental burden and increase the economic efficiency of their disposal. One of the promising areas is the production of building materials based on industrial waste.

This study considers the development of non–autoclaved aerated concrete with improved thermal insulation characteristics, created using waste from the metallurgical industry. The main purpose of the work is to design cellular concrete compositions, study its properties and determine the technical and economic indicators of the obtained materials. The developed composition provides compressive strength up to 3.6 MPa and density up to 780 kg/m³, which meets the requirements for structural and thermal insulation materials. The use of microsilica made it possible to reduce open capillaries by 25%.In the course of the work, the analysis of scientific literature was carried out, the characteristics of cellular concrete mixtures and finished aerated concrete were studied, the processes of structure formation of the material were studied. The possibilities of using industrial waste as the main raw material for the production of wall materials are also considered. The results obtained can contribute to the development of environmentally friendly and energy–efficient technologies in the construction industry.
