Abstract

An experimental hardening of critical parts of the dies of wedge column equipment was carried out on an electrolyte-plasma hardening plant. Optimal modes and parameters of wedge columns that meet the requirements for the quality of the mating surfaces of the equipment dies have been determined analytically and experimentally. Electron microscopic examination of tribological properties and the coefficient of friction and the reinforced structure of the surface layers formed during electrolyte-plasma solidification indicates an increase in the intensity of wear. The wear resistance and coefficient of friction under dry sliding and sliding friction in a liquid medium are investigated.
