The Semipalatinsk Test Site (SIP) is the place where nuclear tests were conducted between 1949 and 1989, which led to serious contamination of land and water resources in the district. The environmental situation in this region continues to be an acute issue, and it is necessary to conduct a systematic analysis of land to assess the level of radiation hazard and develop measures to eliminate the consequences of nuclear tests. One of the important tools for conducting such an analysis is the land database of the STS. The creation of such a database will allow obtaining complete and accurate information about the land plots on the STS and their characteristics, which in turn will help specialists in studying the environmental situation on the STS, developing measures to eliminate the consequences of nuclear tests and protecting public health.
In this context, the creation of a database of STS lands for analysis is an urgent task that requires the use of special tools and methods for processing geodata.
