Abstract

This paper discusses issues arising from the operation, repair, and reconstruction of roads, related to the study of the structure of the earth bed and the forecast of its state: study of the structure of structural layers in road pavement; determination of the thickness and nature of the artificial pavement of the highway; determination of the thickness and nature of the structural layers of the ᶦv. To study these problems, a non-destructive sounding method is used with the GPR of the Oko-2 series. Experimental studies were carried out using this device on a section of one of the routes in the Akmola region. On the basis of engineering and technical methods, the essence of which is the use of physically based or experimentally established regularities, algorithms, and corresponding software has been developed to determine the geoelectric section of the roadway.

The electrical conductivity of pavement (or its reciprocal - resistivity) is an important characteristic of roads. The conductivity and electrical resistance of the layers of the roadway are little studied. The electrical conductivity is affected by the condition of the road surface, road base, subgrade, and materials of its layers.

The aim of the work is to develop software for determining the geoelectric section of the pavement.
