ON THE QUESTION ABOUT WRAPPING OF GRAPHENE SHEETS

Abstract

The article analyzes the issue of warping of graphene sheets in a suspended state. Various mechanisms for the formation of corrugations, wrinkles, and folds in graphene sheets have been proposed. A new model of graphene buckling is proposed. Its essence lies in the fact that graphene is obtained, in most cases, from graphite, where significant internal stresses are present, and in the graphite nanolayer all the physical (thermal, etc.) and chemical (adsorption, etc.) parameters of graphene change.
