DIFFERENTIAL THERMAL ANALYSIS OF CHARGE MATERIALS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF CHROMIUM-MANGANESE LIGATURE

This article investigates the physicochemical properties of raw materials to enhance the efficiency of the process of producing ferrochrome-manganese alloys. The main goal of the research is to determine the thermal characteristics of chromium and manganese ores, as well as new silicon-aluminum alloys (ferrosilicoaluminum, ferrosilicochrome dust, alumosilicomanganese). For this purpose, the method of differential thermal analysis (DTA) was used. The DTA method allowed the study of the thermal properties of materials, changes during melting, crystallization, phase transitions, and chemical reactions. The main part of the work presents the theoretical foundations of the DTA method and the results of the study. Special attention is given to the analysis of the thermal properties of the raw materials and the changes of these properties during the process. The research section presents the detailed DTA results for chromium and manganese ores and new silicon-aluminum alloys. For thermal analysis, the STA300 «Synchronous Thermal Analyzer» device was used.
The obtained results provide scientific data aimed at improving the efficiency of methods and processes used in the technology for producing ferrochrome-manganese alloys. The work focuses on the implementation of new technological methods in metallurgical production and the effective use of the thermal properties of materials. The practical significance of the work lies in the effective utilization of chromium and manganese ores, as well as the improvement of the reduction process using new silicon-aluminum alloys. Thus, the conducted research makes a significant contribution to the production of ferrochrome-manganese alloys and provides valuable information for the further development of metallurgical production.
