Abstract

This paper considers the problem of improving the quality of MRI images by applying various filtering methods. A comparative analysis of the Laplace, Non-Local Means and Unsharp Mask filters is carried out based on numerical quality metrics (MSE, PSNR, SSIM), as well as a subjective assessment of the visual clarity of images. As a result, a combined approach to preprocessing is developed that provides a balance between noise suppression and preservation of diagnostically significant information. The presented results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method and its potential for use in automated MRI data analysis systems.
